Tutored students individually or in small groups for Physics 231 and 231 (Introductory Physics I and II) during Fall 2009 and Spring 2010.  Offered office hours for assistance with exam preparation and online problem sets in the LON-CAPA system.  Held review sessions before midterm exams and final exams, and reviewed exam solutions with students.  Appointment was on a for-credit basis.

Offered office hours for assistance with exam preparation and problem sets (written, online using the Aplia and ANGEL course management programs, and in Microsoft Excel).  Held review sessions before midterm and final exams, and reviewed exam results and solutions with students.  Proctored and graded exams.  Appointment was on a paid basis.

3.	Michigan State University Department of Biological Sciences- East Lansing, MI
Undergraduate Laboratory Instructor, January 2009 – May 2011 (seven semesters)
Courses: BS 110 L (Organisms and Populations Biology Lab)
Taught two full-length lab sections per week under the supervision of a graduate student.  Labs included observations, dissections, computer-based modeling, and primary research.  Provided an explanatory overview lecture at the beginning of each lab session, followed by a review of methods to be used, and then supervised and assisted students.  Graded pre-lab assignments, final projects, and other assignments throughout the semester.  Assisted students with designing, executing, and presenting their final research-based project.  Helped develop and present grading criterion for other undergraduate teaching assistants at department meetings, and developed new tools for instruction of certain labs.  Appointment was on a paid basis.
